WHAT?

ok Friday I went to the Dr. for my weekly visit, they check vitals and you pee in a cup and they measure your belly and listen to the heart beat of your baby, so I get there, pee in a cup, and the nurse puts a test strip in my urine and says "that doesn’t look good" comes over to me and takes my blood pressure and says "that is way high, are you feeling ok?" I tell her I am feeling fine. she checks my weight, and brings me into a room, and says, "your vitals don’t look good, you might have Toxemia, and if it is bad enough we might have to deliver your baby. let me go get the Dr. talk to him and I will be right back." So she leaves me in this room all by my self, and she just told me that we might have to deliver my baby!!! 10minutes pass and she comes back in gives me a gown and says the Dr. would like to check you, put this on and he will be right in........ at this point I am freeking out! Scared to Death, and have a million questions, but no one to answer them.... so the Dr. comes in checks me, and says he will be right back.... 5minutes later the nurse comes in and says "you are not going to like what you hear, but the Dr. wants you to go to the hospital into labor and delivery and get some more tests done, I have just called the hospital and they know you are on your way"....... I asked her what was going on, and she said "we can not be for sure until we get some blood work done for you, and a 24hr urine test, but we think you have Toxemia. Worst case Scenario we deliver your baby today..... or we keep you in the hospital for observation until we need to deliver your baby..... or we do the blood work and you seem fine so we send you home"....... So I jump in my car and here I am bawling, tears freely flowing, snot coming out everywhere, I feel I can barley breath I am crying so hard. I call Drew up on his cell phone and say "they are sending me to the hospital, they might deliver our baby!" so drew tells me he is on his way there, he drops Anson off at the neighbors (who I love and am very great full for) and he comes to the hospital. When I get to the hospital they bring me into a labor and delivery room, the same kind I had Anson in, and told me to put on the gown, the nurse then came in and hooked me up to a machine that reads my babies vitals and mine. The nurse then explained what was going on and told me to keep calm, the more upset I get, the higher my blood pressure gets and the worse that is for the baby. So I am in this delivery room in a gown hooked up to a machine trying to be calm! Drew finally gets there and calms me down, and asks the nurse and Dr. a lot of questions, and just knowing more of what was going on made me feel better. But their answers were the same, If I have extreme toxemia then they are ready to deliver my baby, or I could stay in the hospital for observation until they deliver the baby, or they could send me home on bed rest and I would still be seen under strict observation...... Lets just say my blood pressure went down, and the lab was closed so they sent me home. I had to do a 24hr urine test, (pee in a big jar for 24 hours!!) and go back to the dr. on Monday So all weekend long I was on "bed rest" a.k.a. "lazy boy rest, or couch rest" Drew, my mom, dad and mindy all took very good care of Anson for me, so I could rest. I even got to watch both playoff football games on Sunday with little to no distractions. Today (Monday) I went back to the Dr. He said toxemia does not get better, it just gets worse until we deliver your baby. But your Blood work is not too extreme, your blood pressure is down, but your urine is worse than it was Friday. He then told me not to worry, if I were to deliver today my baby would be fine, and that is a blessing, some women deliver way early because of toxemia and their babies are under a lot of stress, and way young. He said I need to go into the hospital on Wed and Thurs for some more tests and to come back to him the following Monday Hopefully my blood pressure stays down, and my urine stays where it is and does not get any worse and I will be able to carry my baby longer. But like the Dr said, it does not get better it just gets worse, and the further along I go with the baby, the worse it will get. But I will be going to the Dr./hospital 2x a week and possibly more further down the line. I am still on "bed rest" I had to quit my job, and I am going to just take it easy.
So that is what is going on in our life now. just thought I would keep ya up to date.
